Transport on a Flatbed
Tilt & Load Container Transport
Tilt & load container delivery is a simple, efficient, and secure solution for placing a shipping container directly on the ground without the need for additional equipment. The trailer tilts backward, allowing the container to slide smoothly into position.
This delivery method is ideal for residential, commercial, or municipal sites, especially where access is limited. Thanks to its flexibility, a tilt & load trailer ensures precise container placement—whether in a driveway, on a job site, or in a narrow space.
With this service, you benefit from fast, reliable, and safe delivery, while reducing the constraints of heavy handling.

Flatbed Container Delivery
Flatbed container transport is a delivery method where the shipping container is carried on an open trailer and must be unloaded using lifting equipment, such as a crane or forklift.
This type of delivery is particularly well-suited for construction sites, industrial projects, or locations where handling equipment is available. A flatbed trailer makes it possible to safely transport containers of various sizes while providing a fast and efficient solution for clients who already have the necessary equipment on site.
With our flatbed delivery service, you benefit from reliable, economical, and flexible container transport across Québec.

Required Space for Tilt & Load Container Delivery
When delivering a shipping container with a tilt & load trailer, the truck requires sufficient straight-line clearance to maneuver safely. Below are the minimum clearance requirements:
-
1 x 20 ft container: at least 65 ft of straight-line clearance
-
2 x 20 ft containers in tandem: at least 110 ft of straight-line clearance
-
1 x 40 ft container: at least 110 ft of straight-line clearance
Adequate space is essential to ensure a safe, efficient, and obstacle-free delivery.

Positioning Options When Loading Your Shipping Container
When your shipping container is delivered with a tilt & load trailer, you can choose the orientation of the doors. Two positioning options are available:
-
Doors facing the driver’s cab: In this case, the container doors are positioned toward the truck cab. During unloading, the doors will touch the ground last.
-
Doors facing away from the driver’s cab: Here, the container doors are positioned at the rear. During unloading, the doors will be the first to touch the ground.
This choice is important to ensure easy access and convenient use of your container once it has been delivered.

During Container Loading: Doors Facing the Driver’s Cab
The container is loaded onto the truck’s platform with the doors oriented toward the driver’s cab.

During Container Unloading: Doors Touch the Ground Last
During unloading, the trailer tilts and the container slides smoothly until it is placed directly on the ground, with the doors touching the ground last.

During Container Loading: Doors Facing Away from the Driver’s Cab
The container is loaded onto the truck’s platform with the doors positioned at the rear, facing away from the driver’s cab.

During Container Unloading: Doors Touch the Ground First
During unloading, the trailer tilts and the container slides smoothly until it is placed directly on the ground, with the doors touching the ground first.
